To Combat Nursing Shortage, KL Wellness City Pledges RM25 Million
KL Wellness City (KLWC), Southeast Asia’s first purpose-built township, has committed RM25 million through KL International Hospital Sdn Bhd (KLIH) to fund nursing education and address Malaysia’s projected 57.9% nurse shortage by 2030.

This initiative, formalised by a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with six local institutions, aims to create about 3,000 job opportunities.
The sponsorship covers education fees, living allowance, and accommodation for nursing students, guaranteeing them five years of employment at KLIH post-graduation. This effort supports students facing educational barriers and ensures the development of skilled healthcare professionals in Malaysia.
