IHH Healthcare Malaysia launches campaign to train 1,000 individuals in lifesaving skills
IHH Healthcare Malaysia introduces the ‘Ready For You’ campaign, aiming to equip 1,000 people from various sectors with essential lifesaving skills. The campaign offers complimentary cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training. These skills will empower individuals to swiftly respond to basic medical emergencies, fostering more first responders in key consumer-facing services like clinics, insurance, education, banking, hospitality, and e-hailing.
Jean-François Naa, CEO of IHH Healthcare Malaysia, emphasises the importance of community-based action during emergencies. He explains, “Training more people in CPR and AED increases the chances of timely and effective intervention, potentially saving lives before professional medical help arrives.”
In addition, a downloadable First Aid eBook with essential tips for handling basic medical emergencies is available on Gleneagles, Pantai, and Prince Court Medical Centre websites. Furthermore, an innovative hands-on CPR kiosk, a first of its kind in Malaysia, has been launched at select IHH hospitals and strategic partner locations to educate the community on CPR techniques.
