ALTY Orthopaedic in support of Malaysian Blind Football Team
ALTY – “Adding Life To Years” – Orthopaedic Hospital (ALTY) is now the strategic healthcare partner for the Malaysian Blind Football Team (National Team). Through its “Sports4All” campaign, the specialty healthcare provider will be extending support and medical services to the National Team’s visually-impaired athletes, during important sporting events and training.
More specifically, ALTY plans to place medical teams on standby during blind football matches, provide physiotherapy treatments during trainings, and conduct pre–competition health screenings, educational workshops on injury prevention, and rehab for the athletes.
The athletes will additionally be receiving an assortment of sports tapes, sports sprays, and gel as a buffer during training and matches.
The Team’s Head Coach & Technical Director Sunny Shalesh is elated with the initiative by ALTY Orthopaedic Hospital as he says this partnership will further strengthen its agenda for high performance development for the athletes.
“The team was long in need of a strategic healthcare partner to provide professional advice and medical services. With the sponsorship of rehab supplies and medical support services, we will now be able to work alongside ALTY to better manage injuries sustained by visually-impaired athletes and the rehabilitation process to enable ‘return to play’.”
The Malaysian Blind Football Team are ASEAN Para Games’ medalists and comprise of athletes with a full visual impairment classified as B1.

Innovative healthcare company Viatris is also part of the partnership with ALTY Orthopaedic Hospital.

The Sports4All campaign will be running throughout August till November with further initiatives carried out to support athletes from different backgrounds and sports in the forms of webinar, workshops, and screenings.
