Taiwan/Malaysia online panel discussion to promote medical sector
Taiwan, being home to some of the brightest in the medical technology industry, will host an online panel discussion: “Taiwan and Malaysia, Joining Hands in Bringing Greater Health to Life”, to promote networking opportunities between Taiwan’s and Malaysia’s medical industry. It will be held on the 19 November from 3pm-4:10 pm.
This virtual event is organised by Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and it will focus on two main themes, “Medical Service” and “Smart Medical”.
The event will be hosted by Vanessa S. C. Chang, Executive Director of TAITRA and Yong Tuan Heng, President of the Malaysian Medical Devices Association (MMDA), who have both expressed the importance of Taiwan-Malaysian medical cooperation.
During the event, six prominent hospitals and three advanced smart healthcare companies will come together to share the latest disease treatment technology and smart medical technology:
– Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, the first hospital to establish a proton therapy centre in Southeast Asia.
– Cheng Hsin General Hospital, well-known for its heart transplant operations.
– Changhua Christian Hospital, which has achieved a high success rate of up to 50% in reproductive medicine.
– Buddist Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital, famed for its immunotherapy for vitiligo.
– National Cheng Kung University Hospital, the largest medical centre in southern Taiwan.
– Taipei Medical University, a professional medical university and hospital.
– Imedtac, a specialist in smart medical and smart hospital applications.
– Biotegy Corporation, an expert in minimally invasive surgery and in the research and development of high-end medical equipment.
– TaiHao Medical, dedicated to providing breast tumor ultrasound screening solutions.
This event aims to promote joint opportunities between medical practitioners of both countries to provide better disease treatment and healthcare solutions.
