Malaysian Association to host International Healthcare Event in July 2019
The Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM) will be hosting Malaysia’s Minister of Health, YB Datuk Seri Dr. Haji Dzulkefly Bin Ahmad, at their 27th International Healthcare Conference & Exhibition – held on 29-31 July 2019 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
The regional event facilitates APHM’s healthcare objectives and promotes the development and maintenance of exceptional standards of patient care, skills, services and professionalism by its member healthcare providers.
Aptly themed “Corporate & Clinical Governance: Partnerships and Participation” – subject matter includes responsibility, efficiency, moral integrity and the rule of law in ‘Corporate Governance’ while ‘Clinical Governance’ comprises of clinical audits, information and risk/staffing management. These must be upheld by healthcare mangers/suppliers/workers and patients together, to better improve community health.
Spearheaded by APHM’s President, Datuk Dr. Kuljit Singh, the three-day event will also see a Nursing Conference, a Medico-Legal Conference, case studies, and panel sessions presented by doctors, consultants and expertsin line with the theme – key speakers include Dato’ Dr. Narimah Awin, Chairperson, National Population and Family Planning Act;and Richard Royle, Partner, PwC Australia, Health Advisory & National Digital Health Lead, Australia.
In addition, new medical equipment and devices, hospital information systems and physiotherapy/rehabilitation/ healthcare educational programmes are just some of the many showcases at the exhibition, as well as abstract poster presentations and activities.
APHM expects to attract some 800 conference delegates from various management personnel in the private and public sectors, and over 2000 exhibition visitors from the public visiting the booths from around the globe.
