CaREhab 2019 to empower the rehabilitation community

February 21, 2019

An upcoming event in Singapore features compelling stories and innovative highlights relevant to the growing medical rehabilitation community in Asia Pacific. The second edition of CaREhab will be held at the Singapore EXPO (SingEx) on 22-23 February 2019 to facilitate the cross-learning of medical professionals and non-medical professionals, ultimately to provide quality healthcare.

Accounting for the need of cross-intersection of disciplines across the entire care continuum, the Director of SingEx Exhibitions, Ian Wu, has said that the exhibition features tracks on cardiac, pulmonary and pain rehabilitation as well as community rehabilitation and new topics on visual and sports rehabilitation.

New highlights include a social entrepreneur who built an assistive robotic arm for his sick young daughter, and a founder of an online philanthropic community who designs, customises and creates open-sourced affordable 3D-printed prosthetic upper limbs.

The exhibition will also have lively discussions by a visually challenged speaker, an ASEAN para games medallist as well as Singapore’s first female sports physician, all who offer differing perspectives on medical education. The cast of inspiring conference speakers further includes:

• Mr. Bodo Hoenen – social entrepreneur and founder of Dev4X, who will be sharing his personal journey on “How the Connected World Empowers Humanity: Regaining Mobility with Crowd-sourced Robotic Prosthetic”

• Dr. Jon Schul – Founder of e-NABLE, who will share his experience on providing complimentary 3D printed prosthetics to children in poor countries

• Professor Dr. Areerat Suputtitada – the youngest physician to have been appointed as Professor in Thailand, who will be speaking on “Improving effectiveness of the rehabilitation programme for patients with chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) pain”

With meticulous planning, CaREhab 2019 seeks to provide an engaging and insightful experience that will benefit delegates through a conference programme with a wide coverage on ground-breaking technology and quality education in healthcare.
