Foundation extends help to young heart patients in the Philippines
An international healthcare foundation is providing help to Filipino children with congenital heart disease.
Dr Moopen Foundation extends assistance via its program, “Save the Little Hearts”. According to reports, the program was initiated by Dr Azad Moopen, “an Indian billionaire who went on a charity mission in Dubai during the ’80s and has since practiced entrepreneurial philanthropy across regions”.
Aster DM Healthcare Country President Joyce Alumno said the foundation’s campaign has been present in the country for about three years mow. Currently, it has launched various initiatives to intensify its campaign. The program offers free surgeries to children with heart defects.
The foundation also opened a clinic in Manila, which it says is its first in Southeast Asia.
