Vigilance over anti-measles bracelet advertised on networks
As parents are concerned over thousand of infections and deaths due to measles, dishonest people advertised a bracelet to fight the disease.
Taking advantage of parents’ worry about the disease, dubious people posted an advertisement on social networks that a bracelet made in Japan can prevent measles for children.
After studying the bracelet, the Ministry of Health has issued a warning people about the bracelet as the product is without clear origin and information. Moreover, people should be vigilant as there have not been tests carried out by a legal department.
Worse, the bracelet contains Chlorine dioxide- a powerful disinfectant for industrial air treatment that could pose a risk to human’s health, said Professor Nguyen Hoai Chau from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
