In response to the growing demand for world-class healthcare services, CompuGroup Medical (CGM) continues to expand its presence in the Asian region, specifically in Malaysia. The global e-Health provider celebrated the formal launch of its new office in Kuala Lumpur on 18 July at the Mandarin Oriental.

The event was led by Dr. Jens Stief, CEO and Managing Director of CGM Malaysia and Dr Günter Gruber, German Ambassador to Malaysia. It attracted a variety of important guests that included business partners, government organisations and faculty and institution hospitals.

“CGM recognises the dynamic set of requirements facing hospitals and even patients today by addressing their specific needs with a comprehensive portfolio of IT products, services and expertise,” said Dr Stief.

He added that CGM provides modern IT solutions which are in line with the latest developments in the field of medicine and which meet the needs of the healthcare sector. The company conducted recent tests on the effectiveness of their solutions and found that 15% to 20% improvement in healthcare service performance.

“The solutions enable users to store, exchange and access medical information when and where they need it, improving their performance and benefiting patients whilst saving costs and improving profit,” added Dr Stief.

During the event, one of the company’s long time clients shared his delight with CGM’s products and service.

“The important factor is CGM’s strong after sales support and customer care. As a doctor you receive so many different offers day by day. Many of them sound nice and convincing in terms of product capabilities but in the end, when I face downtimes or other issues with the software I bought, this of no use to me,” shared Dr Ameen Shaik, Poliklinik Shaik in Shah Alam, Selangor.

The Poliklinik Shaik, which serves over 150 patients a day, uses CGM’s Professional Medical Office (PMO), a solution for doctors, nurses, clinic assistants, pharmacists and administrators. It helps manage the daily, weekly, monthly and annually activities.

“This solutions lives up to its claim – it grows as you grow! For me, PMO is more than just a medical management system. It is an intelligent solution supporting me throughout all my day to day activities. All data and information along my business activities are accurately tracked and stored. Most interesting is the billing module that can export all necessary financial details and transfer them electronically,” added Dr Shaik.
