Why organic baby food and feeding?

Baby food options can be overwhelming when it comes to nutrition for children. There is a lot of advice floating around when it comes to what you should feed your baby. In the current dynamic, the biggest question is whether you should feed your child organic foods? Well, whenever you can, it’s better to opt for organic baby food.
Nature has taught us the hard way how growing and processing food is becoming taxing to our environment. Feeding your child organic food means feeding him more greens and fruits. Organic farming produces less carbon dioxide, thus causing less pollution when compared to non-organic farming. By picking organic food for your child, you will be supporting sustainable farming methods like crop rotation and composting.
Hence, if not for the nutritional value, you will be making an environmentally-friendly decision by feeding your children organic food.
In the US, food has to meet specific strict organic standards before they are labeled as organic, which means that whatever you will be feeding your baby has been closely monitored. Organic foods that meet these regulations have no antibiotics, synthetic pesticides, artificial additives, enhancers, or other items not permitted by the US Food Inspection Agency. Therefore, you will know exactly what your baby is eating.
Let’s face it; organic foods taste better! Organic foods have deeper flavors, sharper textures, and are more delicious to eat. By starting your kids on organic foods, you will inspire them to eat healthy and have an equally healthy life.
It’s safer to give your kids organic foods because they are not genetically modified. In the current food industry, genetically modified crops and ingredients are making the better part of our diet, including our babies’ diet.
By feeding your baby organic foods, you will be limiting his exposure to genetically modified food. Your baby needs real nutrients and not just processed food and artificial ingredients.
By choosing real healthy foods, you will be feeding your baby the real stuff and bypassing fillers that offer no nutritional value.
Remember that children are more susceptible to toxins than adults. Even low levels of pesticides in your baby’s food could result in long-term health effects. By choosing organic baby foods, you will be lowering their exposure to pesticides and other toxins.
We all want to fill our kids’ stomachs with healthy nutrients, and organic baby food offers you a safe way to do this. Organic veggies and fruits are packed with higher levels of vitamins and antioxidants than non-organic counterparts.
Even so, we recommend waiting six months before introducing solids to your baby. Feeding solid food to your baby before he is four months could pose a huge risk by blocking his airway. It could also increase your baby’s chances of developing obesity. If you have been exclusively breast-feeding your baby since birth, feeding them organic foods could cause stomach upset. While you consider feeding your baby organic foods, only do this after six months.
We also recommend homemade organic baby foods so you can make sure to use fresh, organic items like fresh vegetables and fruits. By cleaning and preparing these ingredients at home, you will make sure your baby is eating healthy food.
