MedTech forum to explore technological advancements in healthcare

Over 600 senior leaders in the healthcare sector, including global and regional leaders of medical device manufacturers, healthcare providers, policy-makers, regulators, government representatives, clinicians, startups, and SMEs, are expected to attend the upcoming Asia Pacific MedTech Forum.

The theme “Technology in Healthcare: Empowering Patients; Driving Outcomes” will see a range of high profile speakers discuss the advancements in medical and digital technologies and its significance on the healthcare delivery in the region.

“The healthcare industry is advancing at a rapid pace in Asia Pacific and its convergence with the digital scene is proving a major engine of growth, with new life-changing technologies emerging in the industry,” said Fredrik Nyberg, CEO ofAPACMed.

He goes on to state that this year’s Asia Pacific MedTech Forum focuses on technology as an enabler and the impact on patient outcomes. Experts will come together to share their insights and visions on the latest innovations and discuss the future of the MedTech sector.

The Forum will feature educational talks and presentations, technology demonstrations, exhibits and networking. This year’s line-up of expert speakers includes:

  • Kevin A. Lobo, Chairman and CEO of Stryker
  • Ashley McEvoy, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Chairman, Medical Devices, Johnson &Johnson
  • Dr Zoran Bolevich, CEO and CIO, eHealth NSW
  • Kyu Rhee, Vice President and Chief Health Officer at IBM Corporation and IBM Watson Health

Additional distinguished healthcare providers and NGOs include Caroline Riady, Managing Director of Siloam Hospitals, Gautam Khanna, CEO of P.D. Hinduja Hospital & MRC, and Dr. Natasha Reyes, Director of Operational Support Unit and Interim Executive Director Medecins Sans Frontières and Doctors Without Borders (Hong Kong).

The 4th Annual Asia Pacific MedTech Forum will run at Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore, from 9-11 October 2018.
