Singapore hospital selects CSC appointment scheduling solution

SINGAPORE – Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) in Singapore has selected CSC Enterprise Scheduling solution, UltraGenda, to improve referrals, appointments and scheduling across its 27 clinical departments and 15 specialist centres.

The system is expected to help the multi-disciplinary hospital minimise administrative burden and cut delays and double handling.

It will help staff to independently book complicated procedures that involve multiple appointments, transmit an e-referral and update the patient record when a patient is referred to the hospital.

The service will also allow the patients to set and manage their appointments and will remind them of appointments through SMS.

CSC’s Healthcare Group managing director for the Asia-Pacific region James Rice said the company anticipates that Tan Tock Seng Hospital, like more than 100 healthcare facilities in Europe already using UltraGenda, will achieve significant efficiency gains along with increased patient satisfaction.

“This solution is just one element of our patient flow suite that is designed to help hospitals enhance efficiency,” added Rice.

TTSH, with over 1,500 beds, is part of the National Healthcare Group and is considered to be the country’s second-largest acute care hospital.
